Ways of coping with stress
- Take time for yourself!
- Don’t be afraid to say “NO” and set boundaries
- Pay attention to your needs
- Acknowledge your limitations
- Take time for fun
- Accept imperfection in yourself and others
- Engage in physical activity
- Eat healthy
- Put priorities in order
- Get enough sleep/rest
- Take slow, deep breaths often
- Laugh!!
- Build positive relationships with others
- Talk to someone (i.e. friend, therapist) that understands you
- Stop trying to change others
- Take quiet time each day to reflect, meditate, pray etc.
- Relaxation imagery
- Positive self talk
- Do thing you enjoy and don’t feel guilty about it!!

Depression is
now being treated as the "common cold" in America. 10% of

and 5-12% are men. It is the leading cause of disability. Women are
twice as likely to suffer from Depression than men. It is estimated
